Eileen M. Costa began her nursing career in 2007 as a staff nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit at the former Brackenridge Hospital. She has extensive experience in various healthcare settings, both inpatient and outpatient, ranging from pulmonary and critical care to pre-operative settings. Eileen spent 5 years serving as the nursing team leader and education facilitator at the Seton Heart Institute and in 2016 was nominated for the prestigious “Seton Nurse of the Year” award.
After many successful years as a registered nurse, Eileen decided to pursue an advanced degree in nursing. In 2018, Eileen received her Master of Science in Nursing from UT Arlington and soon after was awarded her certification as a family nurse practitioner. Eileen’s many years helping patients at the bedside has been invaluable in preparing her for her role as a nurse practitioner in primary care.
Eileen has a strong focus on preventative care and enjoys helping patients understand and play a key role in their health. She thrives on educating patients, motivating and empowering them to take an active role in wellness.
Now that her two children are grown, Eileen spends her free time running, dancing around Austin and cooking and baking for friends.
