Billing & Insurance

Healthcare and insurance can be challenging to understand. There may be times where services requested or performed are not covered, or are only partially covered by insurance plans. Covered services can also change over time and often vary between insurance carriers. There are even times when insurance carriers disagree or do not cover services that a provider deems necessary. While we will try to gather as much information as we can about your insurance, it is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to know what will be covered, or what may be subject to payment, under their specific insurance plan.

Preventative Services

Our office strongly advocates that our patients undergo routine physicals once a year. “Preventative coverage” or “preventative benefits” generally refers to services that are being performed in absence of a clinical diagnosis or without a noted medical problem or symptom. Please note that any problem addressed at an annual preventative exam that requires intervention or management will most likely be subject to routine medical benefits and will incur a co-payment.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept Medicare and most major insurance PPO plans as well as certain healthcare exchange plans and private co-op plans. Please note, we are not currently accepting primary Medicaid. We can accept Medicaid as secondary insurance only. Don’t see your provider in our list below? Give us a call, as these are subject to change. Always check your insurance company’s list of preferred doctors.

If you do not currently have insurance, please contact us to discuss our pricing for common procedures and tests. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. In some circumstances, we can offer patients a payment plan if needed.
